My Story​

Writing romantic suspense as L. E. Hatlen, Loren Hatlen combines his fascinating life experiences with his passions for intrigue, history, and a good love story. Over the years, Loren has been a research biochemist, Coast Guard reservist, small-business owner, house renovator, lay minister, and nonfiction author. When he isn’t writing, Loren enjoys reading, cooking, and traveling, especially road trips in his wicked-quick, red Audi TT coupe.
